How do I book my hotel room?

Hotel reservations will be made by our event team. Hotel confirmations will be sent out prior to your arrival in San Juan.

What if I want to extend my stay?

Employees may travel to San Juan earlier or stay later if they wish, but at their own expense for any additional hotel nights, transportation and meal expenses. If you’d like to extend your stay in San Juan, please contact the event team at momentum@propelmg.com for more information, including room rates and travel arrangements.

How do I book my flights? Can I select my own airline/airport/travel arrangements?

Red River will make all employee travel arrangements. Once travel registration opens, you will receive an email with instructions on booking your travel. Based on your location and arrival dates, you may be booked on group travel. All other attendees will book their travel directly through Travel & Transport. A dedicated phone number for direct booking will be provided. If you have any travel-related questions, please contact the event team at momentum@propelmg.com.

When will I receive notification about my travel?

Travel confirmations will be sent out after the travel registration window has closed. More information will be provided once we begin the travel registration process.

What shots/vaccinations should I get prior to travel?

There are no required vaccinations for entry into Puerto Rico. However, since the event takes place during flu season, we recommend getting a flu vaccine prior to departing for Momentum.

What is the cell/wifi coverage like?

Wifi will be available throughout each hotel free of charge. Check with your cellular provider for coverage information.

Are we going to have “down time” during the day to explore?

We do our best to allow for some down time for attendees throughout our event. A detailed agenda will be available prior to Momentum.

Do I need a passport?

No. Puerto Rico is a US territory, so you only need a driver’s license or a valid photo ID.

Do I need a REAL ID?

No. REAL ID enforcement for domestic air travel will not begin until October 1, 2020.

How do I get to the airport in my home state and back?

Employees who are based in the Claremont office and are booked on group flights will have shuttle service provided from the Claremont office. Details on the shuttle schedule will be provided closer to your departure date. All other employees will be responsible for their own transportation to and from their home airport.

What is the dress code?

Dress code for all meetings is Business Professional. Some of our evening events will have a casual dress code. More information regarding dress code for specific events will be communicated once the full agenda is released.

What is the weather like in January?

January is one of the coolest months in Puerto Rico, with highs averaging in the low 80s, and lows in the low 70s. The humidity is usually lower in January, and the chances of rain are low.

Do I need a special electric/plug adapter?

No.

Do I need to know Spanish?

No. Hotel staff at both hotels speak English. If you do speak Spanish, please let us know as it will be a helpful skill at our Community Service Project.

How are tips handled? Are we able to expense gratuities?

Red River will take care of all transportation and housekeeping gratuities.

Is there anything I can do before our trip to help keep me healthy while traveling?

January is right in the middle of cold and flu season, and airplanes are breeding grounds. Before you leave, get plenty of rest, increase your vitamin C intake, drink plenty of water and wash your hands regularly.

Can I bring my spouse or significant other?

No spouses, partners or friends are permitted at Momentum to keep the focus on our employees and our company. All hotel rooms are booked as single-occupancy, and all the rooms in the hotel are Red River’s for the length of the event. If you are extending your stay,  your guest may join you before or after Momentum.

What should I wear to the Community Service Project?

Please wear closed toe shoes (no flip-flops or sandals), the CSP t-shirt provided on-site at registration and old jeans or other pants you’d typical wear for yard work. Please leave all valuables in your hotel room safe.
